Butterflies

Getting ready for the airport and for an exciting new venture! It has definitely been a while since I last travel alone and crossing continent, so even for a seasoned traveller it is exhilarating.

I’m looking forward to spending 4 months at a beautiful campus, which I have never experienced in my academic journey. I’m also looking forward to gaining experience from a new subject area (sociology), a new research methodology (ethnography) and a new circle of contacts.

Most exciting of all, is to break out from routines, away from a familiar surrounding and people. Spending a short time not taking people and things for granted would be good for me.
